Applications are invited from eligible, talented and proficient candidates for Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (PSCSCCE) 2012, for the following positions:

• Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch)
• Deputy Superintendent of Police
• Excise & Taxation Officer
• Tehsildar
• Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Officer
• Block Development & Panchayat Officer
• Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies
• Employment Generation and Training Officer 

Note

• Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of Preliminary Examination, followed by Main Examination and Interview. Candidates qualified in the preliminary examination will be called for the main examination. The preliminary examination schedule and centre address will be mentioned in the candidate’s admit card. 

• Interested candidates can register by filling the online application form available on the official link of PPSC: http://www.ppsc.gov.in/html/pcs2012.asp. Online registration for preliminary examination began from 16^th Sep, 2012 and will close on 8^th Oct, 2012. For main examination, online registration commences from 17^th Dec, 2012 and will close on 2^nd Jan, 2013.

Eligibility Conditions 

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute
• Should have passed Punjabi language till Matric qualification or its equivalent standard 

Age Limit

• Candidates should be above the age of 21 years and below the age of 37 years.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PH / EXS / Govt. Employees provided as per government norms

Application Fee

For Preliminary Examination

• Rs.1500: For General / Others candidates
• Rs.375: For BC of Punjab / SC / ST candidates
• Exempted for Ex-Servicemen of Punjab candidates

For Main Examination

• Rs.2000: For General & Others candidates
• Rs.500: For BC of Punjab / SC / ST candidates
• Exempted for Ex-Servicemen of Punjab candidates

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can apply online by visiting the official website of PPSC: http://www.ppsc.gov.in/html/pcs2012.asp
  
  
• For paying the examination fees, candidates should obtain a DD (required amount) drawn from State Bank of India / State Bank of Patiala, in favor of Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, payable at Patiala.
  
  
• Candidates should mention their Registration No., Name & Address in block letters on the reverse side of the DD.
  
  
• After successful submission of the online application form, the system will generate a complete application form with unique Registration No., which candidates are required to print out and use for the further process.
  
  
• Printed online application form, along with the DD, should be submitted to:

  by post with 7 days from the date of registration of the online application form.
