Punjab University Invites Applications for the post of Assistant Professor

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts:

For Assistant Professor (Physical Chemistry)

Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ Physically & Visually Handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Masters degree level with specialisation in Physical Chemistry from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR.
The candidates, who are, or have been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in universities/ colleges/ institutions.

For Assistant Professor (BE, MBA)

First class in BE (Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Food Technology) and first class in Masters degree in Business Management/ Administration.
Or
Integrated BE (Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Food Technology) with MBA/ other relevant management related disciplines/ PGDBM/ PGDM/ Programmes (minimum 2 years duration) recognised by AICTE/ MHRD/ UGC and declared equivalent to MBA by AICTE/ AIU.

For Assistant Professor (Computer Science & Engineering)

First class degree of ME/ M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology.

Application Fee

Rs.375 (Rs.150 for SC/ ST and Rs.185 for Physically Handicapped) to be deposited in Account No. 33417855484 of Panjab University, Chandigarh, payable at all Branches of State Bank of India.
