Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2014.

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Life Sciences

Eligibility Conditions

For Physics Candidates

• M.Sc. degree in Physics with a minimum of 60% overall marks, and who have cleared Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST 2014) and/or CSIR-UGC NET in June/ December 2013 (JRF, not lecturership).

For Chemistry and Life Sciences Candidates

• M.Sc. degree with minimum 60% overall marks, in Chemistry or Life Sciences, and who have cleared joint CSIR-UGC Net in June/December 2013 (JRF, not lecturership), are eligible to apply. Candidates with M.Sc in botany /agricultural science should not apply.

How to Apply

• The application form can be downloaded from university website.
  
  
• Two copies of the filled application form, affixed with passport-size photo on each, along with copies of documents mentioned in the application, should be sent to the following address by registered post with A/D, or by speed post.
  
  
• Applicants are advised to preserve the dispatch receipt for future reference. Please write down on the top of the envelope "Application for RRCAT-Ph.D program-2014 (Physics/Chemistry/Life Sciences)".

Selection Procedure

• The selection of the students for the Ph.D program through Screening of the applications, followed by and then Interview of the short-listed candidates by the selection committees at RRCAT.

Important Dates

• Last date for online submission: 10^th Apr, 2014 (Thursday)
• Last date for receiving applications by post: 14^th Apr, 2014 (Monday)
