Applications are invited from well qualified science scholars for various positions for Bio-Energy Promotional Programme of the institute, for the following posts:

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
• Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) 

Note

• Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted by the recruitment panel of SSS - NIRE. For interview, candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their academic qualification. 

• Candidates short-listed in the initial screening will be intimated the date and schedule of interview, by the recruitment panel of SSS - NIRE. For more information regarding the recruitment, candidates can visit the official website of SSS - NIRE: http://www.nire.res.in/. 

Eligibility Conditions 

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

• BE / B.Tech Degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Civil Engineering / Biochemical Engineering /  Energy Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / College, along with a valid GATE Ccore
                        Or
  M.Sc Degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks in aggreagate from a recognized University.
• Candidates, who have qualified NET / GATE, will be given preference in the selection procedure.

For Senior Research Fellow (SRF):

• ME / M.Tech Degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Civil Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Energy Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science or any other stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / College
                        Or
  BE / B.Tech / M.Sc Degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate, with at least two years of post qualification research experience as evidence from Fellowship / Associateship / Traineeship, and have published papers in standard refereed journals

For Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF):

• PhD Degree from a recognized University / College, with published work in peer reviewed / journals (SCI / Engineering) in the field of Renewable Energy or any other relevant field of Science and Engineering. 

Age Limit

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Candidates’ age should not be more than 28 years.
• Age relaxation upto 5 years will be given to SC / ST / OBC / Women and PH candidates as per the norms prescribed by Government of India.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Candidates should not be more than 32 years of age.
• Age relaxation upto 5 years will be given to SC / ST / OBC / Women and PH candidates as per the norms prescribed by Government of India.

Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF)

• Candidates should be 35 years of age as on the date of the application form submission.
• Age relaxation upto 5 years will be given to SC / ST / OBC / Women and PH candidates as per the norms prescribed by Government of India.
