Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Karnataka Kerala Region (KKR), Bangalore has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment 2011, for the following positions:
- Sub-Inspector (Fire) (CISF)
- Research Assistant (Central Institute of Indian Languages)
- Senior Scientific Assistant III (Directorate of Plant Protection)
- Research Assistant (National Centre for Disease Control)
- Assistant Librarian (Central Institute of Indian Languages)
- Junior Engineer (Central Institute of Coastal Engineering for Fishery)
- Junior Chemist (Directorate of Marketing & Inspection)
- Stockman (Central Cattle Breeding Farm)
- Technical Officer I (Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage)
- Language Typist (Malayalam) (Central Institute of Indian Languages)
Note: Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Screening Test followed by Written Test and Personal Interview.

Eligibility Conditions
For Sub-Inspector (Fire) (CISF)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognizedUniversity / Institute Or Matriculation or its equivalent qualification from a recognizedBoard with three years of Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Automobiles / Chemical / Mining / Aeronautical / Telecommunication Engineering from recognized University / Institutions
- Should have passed Fire Fighting course from a recognized institution
- Candidates should be above the age of 20 years and below the age of 30 years
For Research Assistant
- Master’s Degree in Linguistics / Comparative Philology / Indian Language and Literature / Psychology / Education / Sociology / Anthropology / Folklore / Statistics from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum one year of research / teaching experience
- Should have proficiency in any Indian Language as a subject at the Secondary School Level in the case of Master of Arts in Linguistics or Comparative Philology or as a subject at the degree level in the case of Master of Arts in subjects other than Linguistics and comparative Philology
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years
For Senior Scientific Assistant III
- B Sc degree in Agriculture from a recognized University / Institute
- Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 25 years
For Research Assistant
- Master’s Degree in Zoology / Microbiology / Biochemistry from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in a Medical / Research Laboratory
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years
For Assistant Librarian
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute
- Diploma in Library Science of a recognized University / Institute
- Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 25 years
For Junior Engineer
- Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in Survey and Designs
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years
For Junior Chemist
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Dairy Chemistry / Oil Technology / Food Technology from a recognized University / Institute Or B Sc Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject or B Sc (Hons) in Chemistry from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in Analytical work
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years
For Stockman
- Matriculation / Higher Secondary or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board
- Training as a Stockman from a recognized Institute
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a Live Stock Farm related to Supervision of feeding and maintenance of stock registers
- Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 27 years
For Technical Officer I
- Intermediate with Science in Zoology / Botany / Agriculture or 10+2 class pass with Science (with Zoology / Botany / Agriculture) from a recognized University / Board
- Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 25 years
For Language Typist (Malayalam)
- Matriculate or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board
- Should have Typing speed of 25 WPM in Malayalam language
- Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 25 years
Application Fee: Rs 50 (Exempted for Women / PH / SC / ST / EXS)

- For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain the Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) of Rs 50, from any post office.
- Application forms duly complete in all respect along with the CRFS of Rs 50 affixed and clearly cancelled, attested photograph size photographs, one self-addressed post card with affixed postage stamp of Rs 6, 2 self-addressed envelopes (12 cms x 25 cms size) with the affixed postage stamp of Rs 6, 2 slips indicating candidates Name & Postal Address and attested photocopies of all the required documents / certificates should be submitted to The Regional Director (KKR), Staff Selection Commission, 1st Floor, E Wing, Kendriya Sadan, Koramangala, Bangalore (Karnataka) - 560034, by post before December 2, 2011.
- Candidates belong from far-flung areas can send their application form before December 9, 2011.
- Candidates should mention “Application for the Post of_________ Advertised Vide Category____________ of ADVT.NO.KKR-03/2011 on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
