Applications are invited from well-educated and competent candidates for the following posts:
- Senior Research Officer
- Assistant
The recruitment is to be done on deputation basis for a period of two years, in Foreign Service Terms at Regional Offices of TRAI.
Appointment of candidates is to be done at Patna, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Mumbai centers for the posts of Senior Research Officer and at Bangalore, Patna, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh centers for the posts of Assistant.

- Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of personal interview.
- Candidates short-listed on the basis of initial screening will be called for the interview by the selection committee.

Eligibility Conditions
For Senior Research Officer
- Should be an Officer of the Government / PSU reputed organization and hold an analogous position on regular basis
- Should be an Officer of Junior Time Grade with 4 years of regular service in the same grade or have 7 years of regular service in the grade of Section Officer or its equivalent grade
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Economics / Commerce / Engineering / Law / Science / Humanities from a recognized University / Institute or should be a member of Chartered Accountants of India or ICWA
- Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
For Assistant
- Should be an Officer of the Government / PSU reputed organization and hold an analogous position on regular basis
- Should have minimum 10 years of service in the pay scale of Rs.3050-4590 (pre-revised) / PB 1 Rs.5200-20200 + GP 1900 (revised)
- Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
Required Age
- Candidates should be below the age of 56 years (Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC candidates provided as per government norms).
