Applications are invited from eligible, well-educated and competent candidates for the post of Advisor (Legal), for recruitment 2012. The recruitment is to be done on deputation basis on Foreign Service terms in TRAI's headquarter at New Delhi, initially for a period of two years.

• The mentioned post has been exempted from the rule of immediate absorption up to 23^rd Jan, 2016 by Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare for appointment on deputation. Eligibility Conditions

Essential Qualifications

• Should have obtained Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University or equivalent in humanities, liberal arts, economics, commerce, science, management or engineering

Desirable Qualification:

• Should have obtained a Post Graduate Degree in Law, economics, commerce, telecommunications, engineering or management

Experience:

• Should have work experience in analyzing and dealing with cases and litigation in the High Court and Supreme Court or in similar Appellate Tribunals
  
  
• Should have work experience in examining policy issues from a legal perspective, and the drafting of statutory regulations, directions and rules
  
  
• Should be thoroughly familiar with court procedures and tendering of legal advice
  
  
• Work experience in performing quasi-judicial functions or administering tax laws or regulatory functions under a Central Government statute will be preferred.
