Eligibility Conditions

For General Manager (Civil)

  • Should have obtained BE / B Tech degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Institute / University
  • Experience:
    • Government Officers in the pay scale of Rs 37400-67000 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 8700) or equivalent having minimum 15 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 8 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Joint General Managers in other PSUs working in the pay scale of Rs 37400-67000 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 8700) or Rs 36600-62000 (IDA) having minimum 15 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 8 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Candidates working in reputed Non-Governmental organizations having minimum 15 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 8 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways and two years experience should be as Head of Independent Business units. They should have proven track record of business acquisition and project execution in the field of Civil works. The last package drawn should not be less than Rs 12 lakhs per annum in a company having annual turnover of more than 50 crores.

For Joint General Manager (Civil)

  • Should have obtained BE/B Tech degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Institute / University
  • Experience:
    • Government Officers in the pay scale of Rs 37400-67000 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 8700) or equivalent having minimum 12 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 6 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Senior Managers in other PSUs working in the pay scale of Rs 37400-67000 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 8700) or Rs 32900-58000 (IDA) having minimum 12 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 6 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Candidates working in reputed Non-Governmental organizations having minimum 12 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 6 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways. They should have proven track record of business acquisition and project execution in the field of Civil works. The last package drawn should not be less than Rs. 10 lakhs per annum in a company having annual turnover of more than 50 crores.

For Manager (Civil)

  • Should have obtained BE/B Tech degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Institute / University
  • Experience:
    • Government Officers in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 6600) or equivalent having minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 4 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Deputy Managers in other PSUs working in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 6600) or Rs 24900-50500 (IDA) having minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 4 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Candidates working in reputed Non-Governmental organizations having minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 4 years experience should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways. The last package drawn should not be less than Rs 6 lakhs per annum in a company having annual turnover of more than 50 crores.

For Deputy Manager (Civil)

  • Should have obtained BE/B Tech degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Institute / University
  • Experience:
    • Government Officers in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 6600) or equivalent having minimum 6 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 2 years experience should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Assistant Managers in other PSUs working in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 (CDA) (with grade pay Rs 6600) or Rs 20600-46500 (IDA) having minimum 6 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 2 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways etc., or
    • Candidates working in reputed Non-Governmental organizations having minimum 6 years post qualification experience in Civil Construction work out of which 2 years should be in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways. The last package drawn should not be less than Rs 5 lakhs per annum in a company having annual turnover of more than 50 crores.

For Assistant Manager (Civil)

  • Should have obtained BE/B Tech degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Institute / University
  • Experience:
    • Should have minimum 3 years Post qualification experience in the field of Civil Constructions of Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Highways

Required Age

As on  1st Dec, 2011

  • For General Manager (Civil) - Maximum 45 years
  • For Joint General Manager (Civil) - Maximum 40 years (for UR Candidates) and Maximum 43 years (for OBC Candidates)
  • For Manager (Civil) - Maximum 40 years
  • For Deputy Manager (Civil) - Maximum 38 years (Relaxation of 3 years as per Govt. of India guidelines)
  • For Assistant Manager (Civil) - Maximum 35 years (Relaxation of 5 years as per Govt. of India guidelines)
