Eligibility Conditions

Age Limits:

Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years on 1st August. 2011. The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and certain other categories of candidates to the extant specified in the Notice.

Educational Qualifications:

Must have passed in the first or second division, the intermediate or an equivalent examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the regulations given in Appendix-II of the Rules for Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Examination 2011 published in the Gazette of India dated 25th March 2011.

How To Apply

Candidates may apply online using the website: www.upsconline.in.

The candidates may also apply offline in the New Common Application Form (Form-E) devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices (specified in Appendix III of the Notice published in the Employment News dated 26.06.2011) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.30 - (Rupee Thirty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.
In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms (Form-E) the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned post master or UPSC’s “FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL” over Telephone No. O11-23389366r / Fax No. O11-23387310.
