Age Limit

The age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and should not have the attained the age of 32 years on the first day of the month of January of the year in which the examination is to be held (i.e. as on 1st January 2016). He / She must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2016.

Qualification

Candidates should have master degree in geological science or geological or applied geology or Geo-exploration or mineral exploration or engineering geology or marine geology or Earth science and resource management or oceanography and coastal areas studies or petroleum geo-sciences or petroleum exploration or geo-chemistry or geological technology or geophysical technology from a university incorporated by an act of the Central or state legislature in India.

Age Limit

Qualification

Candidates should have M.Sc. in physics or applied physics or M.Sc. (marine in Marine geo-physics or integrated M.Sc. in exploration geo-physics or M.Sc. in applied geo-physics from a university incorporated by an Act of parliament or state legislature in India.

Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of written examination and personal interview depending on the number of applications received.

Age Relaxation

The upper age of the candidates in relaxable for the following specified categories to the extent indicated below:-

By 5 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.
By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.
By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.

Application fee

Candidates are required to pay application fee Rs 200/- either by depositing the money in any branch of state bank of India by cash or by using net banking facility of the state bank of India or by using visa card / master card / debit card. Schedule caste categories candidates (SC) / Schedule tribe categories candidates (ST) are exempted from application fee.
