Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program in Economics for 2013-15.

Eligibility Conditions

• Any candidate who has passed the M.A/M.Sc examination in Economics of this university with 55% marks in aggregate (SC/ST with 50% marks) or with 60% marks in aggregate of any other recognized university is eligible to apply.
  
  
• Students, likely to complete M.A/ M.Sc part-II examination in Economics by 30^th Jun, 2013, are also eligible to apply. Their admission will be provisional subject to satisfying minimum eligibility criterion by 31^st Aug, 2013.

How to Apply

• Application forms would be available at C.U.Sales Counter (College Street Campus) from 10.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on all working days on payment of Rs.465 for form plus Rs.35 for copy of a brochure, from 27^th May, 2013 (Monday).
  
  
• Completed application forms will be received by the office of the:

  Asutosh Building
  Ground Floor
  Room No.3G
  
  between 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on all working days up to 7^th Jun, 2013. 

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be on the basis of an entrance test followed by an interview.
  
  
• Candidates who have qualified in NET, SET or equivalent national level examination are exempt from the entrance test, but not from the interview.

• Last date for issue of application forms: 27^th May, 2013 (Monday)
• Last date of receipt of application forms: 7^th Jun, 2013 (Friday)
• Date of entrance (written) test: 28^th Jun, 2013 (Friday)
