All the eligible candidates are invited for the post of Project Fellow. The recruitment of the candidates is to be done for the UGC Major Research project titled “Type 2 diabetes mellitus risk in adult Bengalee population: comparative evaluation of anthropometric and life style variables in rural and urban areas of West Bengal, India” [Sanction No. F. No. 40-283/2011 (SR)].

Note

• The project is for the duration of approximately 3 years and shall be supervised by Principal Investigator: Prof. Dr. A. R. Bandyopadhyay, Department of Anthropology, University of Calcutta (Ballygunge Campus).
• Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of walk-in interview, to be conducted by the selection committee of the University.

The interview is scheduled to be conducted on  15^th Dec, 2011 at 1.00 pm in the Room of the Head, Department of Anthropology, University of Calcutta (Ballygunge Campus) 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata - 700019.

Eligibility Conditions

• Should have obtained M Sc (Master of Science) degree in Anthropology with (Specialization in Biological Anthropology) with at least 55% marks

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can appear in the walk-in interview before the selection committee, which is scheduled to be conducted on  15^th Dec, 2011 at 1.00 pm in the Room of the Head, Department of Anthropology, University of Calcutta (Ballygunge Campus) 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata - 700019.
• Candidates are required to bring two sets of complete applications furnishing Bio-data on plain paper attached with attested copy of testimonials and all originals of the testimonials at the time of the interview.
• One must note that no TA will be provided for appearing in the walk-in interview.
