Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Statistics and Computer Applications program offered at the Department of Statistics for 2012-13. 

Eligibility Conditions

• The candidates should have completed M.A. / M.Sc. in Statistics from Calcutta University with 55% marks in aggregate (SC / ST with 50% marks) or with 60% marks in aggregate from any other recognized university.
  
  
• Students who are taking M.Sc. final examinations in statistics are also eligible to apply.

• The application fee of Rs.200 (for general candidates) and Rs.100 (for SC / ST / PC candidates) can either be paid by DD in favor of Calcutta University or by C.U. Cash challan deposited at Calcutta University cash counter either at Rajabazar Science College Campus, 92 A.P.C. Road, Kolkata – 700009 or Ballygunge Science College Campus, 35 B.C. Road, Kolkata – 700019.
  
  
• Duly filled in application form along with all relevant testimonials and DD or cash challan should reach office of the:

Selection Procedure

• The selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the entrance test which will be conducted by the university.

• Last date for submitting completed application form: 31^st Aug, 2012 (Friday)
• Date of entrance examination: 14^th Sep, 2012 (Friday)
