Eligibility Conditions

For Principal

• Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture with 1st class division from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Ph.D Degree in Architecture from a recognized University or have published good research works in referred journals / significant professional work

For PhD candidates: Minimum 15 years of working experience in Teaching / Practice / Research, out of which minimum 5 years of experience should be at the level of Professor or above in Architecture

                                                        Or
For Non PhD candidates: Minimum 18 years of working experience in Teaching / Practice / Research, out of which minimum 5 years of experience should be at the level of Professor or above in Architecture

For Professor

• PhD degree in the concerned / relevant discipline from a recognized University
  
  
• Should have published high quality of workwith a minimum of 10 publications as books / research / policy papers
  
  
• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in University / College or experience in Research at the University / National level institutions / industries
  
  
• Should have contributed in various educational innovation, design of new curricula & courses and technology - mediated teaching learning process.
  
  
• Must have the minimum score as specified in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III

For Associate Professor

• Ph.D degree in the concerned / relevant discipline with good academic record from a recognized University
  
  
• Master’s Degree in the relevant disciplines with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Minimum 8 years of teaching experience on a position of Assistant professor in University / College
  
  
• Should have published high quality of work with a minimum of 5 publications as books / research / policy papers
  
  
• Should have contributed in various educational innovation, design of new curricula & courses and technology - mediated teaching learning process, with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates and research students
  
  
• Must have the minimum score as specifiedin the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III

For Assistant Professor

• Master’s Degree in the relevant disciplines with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Candidates should have qualified NET / SLET / SET conducted by the UGC/CSIR.
  
  
• Candidates having PhD degree are exempted from the condition of qualifying the NET / SLET / SET examinations.

• Rs.500: General & Others candidates
• Rs.300: SC / ST / Ph candidates

• Candidates can also obtain the application form in-person from the University Campus or by sending a request with self-addressed envelope (31 cm x 23 cm) with affixed postage stamp of Rs.30 on it, to the University of Mumbai, Teaching Appointments Unit, Room No. 113, First Floor, Fort, Mumbai (Maharashtra) - 400032.
  
  
• For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs.500 / Rs.300 drawn in favor of Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai, payable at Mumbai.
  
  
• Five copies of Application form, duly completed in all respects, along with the DD and attested copies of all certificates / documents, should be submitted to
