University of Mumbai Invites Applications for Recruitment 2012 For Director, Registrar, Engineer & Stenographer

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for various Non-Faculty posts for the following positions:

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of test and personal interview.
Only short-listed candidates will be called for the test / interview.

Eligibility Conditions

For Director (Central Computing Facility) (University Fund)

PhD Degree with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Science with 1st class division from a recognized University / Institute
Minimum 10 years of working experience in teaching / industry / research, out of which minimum 5 years of experience should be at the level of Assistant Professor or its equivalent position
Candidates should be above the age of 35 years and below the age of 45 years.

For Deputy Registrar (Public Relations)

Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University / Institute
Diploma in Journalism from a recognized Institute
Should have knowledge of Marathi, Hindi and English languages
Minimum 3 years of working experience in Public Relations work on responsible position (Class I / II Officer) in a Government / Reputed Organization
Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
Candidates should be above the age of 30 years and below the age of 38 years.

For Assistant Registrar (F&A)

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from a recognized University / Institute
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in an Accounts related work, at class II officer level or its equivalent
Candidates should be above the age of 30 years and below the age of 38 years.

For University Engineer (Civil)

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute
MS-CIT Certificate from a recognized Institute
Minimum 4 years of working experience in Designing / Construction of major works
Candidates should be above the age of 30 years and below the age of 38 years.

For Junior Engineer (Civil)

For Higher Grade Stenographer

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute
Should have Shorthand Government Commercial Certificate (GCC) in English / Marathi with speed of 120 WPM / 80 WPM, respectively and Typewriting GCC in English / Marathi with speed of 40 WPM / 30 WPM, respectively as well as MS-CIT certificate
Minimum 5 years of working experience as Lower Grade Stenographer in a Government / reputed organization
Candidates should be above the age of 25 years and below the age of 35 years.

For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs.200 / Rs.100 drawn in favor of Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai, payable at Mumbai.
Application form, duly completed in all respect, along with the DD and attested copies of all certificates / documents, should be submitted to
