UPSC to hold Civil Services Exams over seven days

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination will be held from December 2 to 8 this year. It's the first time in the last 35 years that the examination is being taken in just seven days.

Earlier the exams used to be spread over a period of 30 days.

The time table is as follows:

December 2 - essay and English
December 3 - general studies paper I & II
December 5 - general studies paper- III and IV
December 7 - optional paper-I and II
December 8 - Modern Indian Language
