All the interested and eligible candidates are invited for the post of Research Scientist. The recruitment is being offered under an ICMR funded Project entitled “National network for genotyping of human lymphatic filarial parasite Wuchereria bancrofti from different endemic areas”.

Note

• The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of one year and the period may be extended depending upon his/her performance and availability of funds for another period of six months.
• Selection will be made on the basis of walk-in-interview, scheduled to be conducted on  6^th Jan, 2012 (Friday) between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon.

Eligibility Conditions

• Essential Qualifications
  • Should have obtained 1st Class Master Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or any other branch of Life Sciences from any recognized University
• Desirable Qualifications
  • Should have obtained Doctorate in related science from any recognized University
  • Should have obtained Additional Post-doctoral research / teaching experience in the field of molecular biology, especially gene polymorphism, cloning and expression of genes and their sequencing, as evidenced by publications in reputed journals
  • Should have knowledge of computer applications or business intelligence tools, date management

Required Age

 Should not be more than 35 years as on the date of walk in interview i.e. 11^th Jan, 2012 (relaxable for Govt. Servant SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India rules in force)

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply for the post, are required to appear for the walk-in interview, scheduled to be conducted on January 6, 2012 (Friday) between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon.
