Eligibility Conditions 

For Professor

• Doctoral degree in the concerned / relevant discipline from a recognized University
  
  
• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in University / College or experience in Research at University / National level institutions / industries
  
  
• Master’s Degree in Arts / Humanities / Science or M Ed Degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Should have published high quality of work with minimum 10 publications as books / research / policy papers
  
  
• Should have ability to design Course Curriculum and have good knowledge of Design related software
  
  
• Should have contributed in various educational innovation, design of new curricula & courses and technology / medicated teaching learning process
  
  
• Must have minimum score of 400 points, as specified in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III

For Associate Professor

• Ph.D degree in the concerned / relevant discipline with good academic record from a recognized University
  
  
• Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Minimum 8 years of teaching experience on the position of Assistant Professor in University / College
  
  
• Should have published high quality of work with minimum 5 publications as books / research / policy papers
  
  
• Should have contributed in various educational innovation, design of new curricula & courses and technology, and have evidence of guiding doctoral & research students
  
  
• Must have minimum score of 300 points, as specified in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III

For Assistant Professor / Assistant Lecturer

• Master’s Degree in the relevant disciplines with consistently good academic record, with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Candidates should have qualified NET / SLET / SET conducted by UGC/CSIR
  
  
• Candidates having PhD degree are exempted from the condition of qualifying NET / SLET / SET examinations

Required Age

• 45 years: Professor
• 40 years: Associate Professor
• 35 years: Assistant Professor (A) & (B) / Assistant Lecturer
• 30 years: Assistant Professor (C) 

Application Fee

• Rs.800: For AGP of Rs 9000 and above
• Rs.400: For AGP / GP of Rs 6000 and 5400
• Rs.300: For GP of Rs 4800, 4600 and 4200
• Only 25% (above amount): For SC / ST candidates
• Exempted for PH candidates

• Candidates can obtain the application form directly from the Cash Section, Accounts Office, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan in the reverse payment of the required amount.
  
  
• Candidates can also obtain the application form by post, by sending a self-addressed envelope (11 cm x 26 cm) affixed with stamp of Rs.15, along with a DD of relevant application fee amount, to the Registrar’s Office, Visva-Bharati, PO Santiniketan (West Bengal) - 731235.
  
  
• For paying the application fees, candidates can obtain a DD of required amount, drawn in favor of Accounts Officer, Visva-Bharati, payable at State Bank of India, Santiniketan Branch (Branch Code: 2121).
  
  
• Original copy of Application form duly complete in all respect, along with 12 photocopies of complete application form, two passport-size photographs, DD (with downloaded form only) and one set of attested copies of all relevant documents, should be submitted to the:
