Age Limit

• The age of the candidate should be 30 years. The age of the applicant applying for the position of Tug Master grade – I (B) should be as on 1^st May, 2016. 

Qualification

• Candidates  should have Matriculation or its equivalent or its equivalent and Possession of first class master certificate under Inland stream vessels act 1917 (1 of 19170 OR Possession of certificate of competency as master of a stream vessel having engine of any nominal horse power or of a motor vessel having engines of any break horse power issued by the Merchantile Marine department under major ports Harbour crafts rules. 

Selection Procedure

• The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of written examination and personal interview depending on the number of applications received. 

Age Relaxation

The upper age of the candidates in relaxable for the following specified categories to the extent indicated below:-

• By 5 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.
• By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.
• By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.
