Kanchrapara Harnett English Medium School was registered under West Bengal society Act. The registration of this school is No. S/49/968 of 1985-86.

There was necessity of having English medium school in the area. In order to fulfill the need, this school was started in month of July in 1974 by local Railway authorities. The school is affiliated under the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) in 1993. The school also started class XI and XII (Senior Secondary) in 2007.
