Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, abbreviated as ANGRAU, is a public university of agriculture studies, research and learning and is located in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The university was formed in 1964 by the Government of India and is affiliated with UGC. Dr. A. Padma Raju is the vice-chancellor and S. Raghu Reddy is the chancellor of the university.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programs in agricultural engineering, agriculture, home science and polytechnics. The admission is done through the Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) which is conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the selection of the students are based on their performance in the examination. The research department of the university is funded by government organizations and national/international agencies and their on-going projects includes crop production, crop improvement, biotechnology, home science, water resource management and post harvest technology.
