Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, abbreviated as CSVTU, is a public university for higher education and learning and is located in Bhilai, India. It was established in the year 2005 and the first foundation stone was laid by Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India. The goal of the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University is to provide research, education and other service in a conducive intellectual environment to global, national and even local aspirants, and to prepare these students to become successful in a challenging global atmosphere.
The Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University has seven faculties which includes Engineering and technology, applied science, management and entrepreneurship, pharmacy, architecture, humanities and ecological and environment. The Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University also follow 50% reservation for employees of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and other few percentages are reserved in other courses for their children. The university is also affiliated with few engineering and polytechnics colleges in Chhattisgarh. The University will aim to provide students with managerial and technical skills to respond to the changing situation and demands of technical manpower.
