The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management or IIITM-K, is an institute of higher education in the fields of technology, management and sciences located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram (also called Trivandrum), in the state of Kerala, India. The University was established by the state Government of Kerala and inaugurated by the then Governor of Kerala, Sukhdev Singh on the 23rd of November 2000. In the month of March 2001, the University admitted its first batch of students for the Postgraduate diploma in Information Technology. The Institute aims to develop leaders and professionals of high skills in the fields of science, technology and management.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management offers various academic programs which currently include the Master of Science in Information Technology, Postgraduate Diploma in E-Governance and an M.Phil program in Eco-Informatics. Various new courses such as Post Graduate Diploma in Agri Informatics, Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Master of Science in Computational Science are proposed to begin soon. The flagship course of the Institute is the two year PGDIT postgraduate course, which constitutes of 4 semesters including an internship and summer projects. The program includes IT foundation courses, Management IT courses, Software design and engineering, Leadership and self development along with various elective courses in areas such as E-Commerce, Geographic Information Systems, Embedded Systems, Web Technology among others. The learning methods adopted by the University include web based course management, on demand streaming of lectures of over 1000 hours, a digital library, case studies and live projects etc.
