Indian Institute of Management - IIM Raipur, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur, or IIM Raipur, is an autonomous public, business school, established in 2010, by the Central Government of India in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The institute is the 10th IIM to be established, and was inaugurated on the 11th of October 2010, by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Raman Singh. The Institute currently operates from a temporary campus within the Government Engineering College, Sejbahar. A new permanent campus has been commissioned at Naya Raipur, with a budget of over Rs 600 crore. The foundation stone, for the new 200 acre campus, was laid on the 5th of May 2013, by the HRD Minister, Pallam Raju.

IIM Raipur, currently offers management diplomas to its students. Various full time and part time management academic courses are conducted at the Institute. The Postgraduate Programme in Management is the flagship programme at IIM Raipur. The goal of the course is to develop and groom future leaders of the business world, who can face dynamically changing market situation in context of a global scenario. The course is full time residential course, that lasts for 2 years, including 6 trimester and an internship at a reputed organization. The Fellow Program in Management is another course offered at IIM Raipur, and is a full time doctoral course, that offers opportunities for research in different fields of management. Other than the ones above, IIM Raipur offers a Postgraduate Programme in Management for Working Executives, an intensive course that lasts one and half year, the Executive Education Program, that aims to develop and broaden the horizons of budding managers and the Executive Fellow Programme in Management, a programme exclusively for professionals with over 10 years of experience in management. IIM Raipur also offers customized courses to meet specific requirements of certain organizations. IIM Raipur also has a strong network of partner business schools, through which student exchange programmes are carried out, these include, Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology, ALBA Graduate Business School,. IPADE, IESEG School of management etc.

IIM Raipur plays host to a variety of student activities other than the standard curriculum. Various committees and student clubs are responsible for planning and executing various events in the fields of Operations, Marketing and Finance. Mantra is the annual festival organized by the marketing club, which not only holds quizzes, contests and sharing sessions, but also invites well known and eminent people from academia and the industry to deliver guest speeches on various management related topics. The Corporate Social Responsibility club also called Kartavya, drives activities such as Eye donation camps, tree plantation drives, blood donation camps etc. Other events at IIM Raipur include OPEP, Finatix, CUSP among others.
