Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Indore, Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Indian Institute of Technology Indore, also known as IIT Indore or IITI, is situated in Madhya Pradesh and was established by the Government of India in the year 2009. IIT Indore is an institute of technology, science and engineering. The IIT Indore became functional in 2009-2010 at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Indore University under supervision of IIT Bombay.

The first foundation stone of IIT Indore was laid on 17th February, 2009 by Mr. Arjun Singh, the HRD minister of India. The very first batch of IIT Indore passes out in the year 2013 and the first convocation was celebrated on june 8th 2013. The campus of IIT Indore has area of around 510 acres which is approximately 2.1 km per square and it is located around 25 km from the main city of Indore. IIT Indore campus celebrate various festival annually which includes inter-collegiate cultural festival of IIT Indore, workshop on eyebotics, several competitions, informal events and so on. The inter-collegiate cultural festival held every year in the month of March-April.

IIT Indore have a course of 4 years Bachelor of Technology ( B.Tech) programmes. Students have to take exam of Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) to get admission for these programs after completing 10+2 schooling. IIT Indore also offers courses for postgraduate programs which includes Ph.D programmes in engineering, humanities and basic science. IIT indore has three departments of school with more than 70 faculty members and regular visiting faculty on deputation from IIT Bombay. The three schools are School of Basic Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Economics, Computer Science and Engineering degree, English, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Electrical Engineering degree, Philosophy and Psychology.

IIT Indore have best research plan which includes cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, algorithms and theoretical computer science, Si/SOI technology thin film technology, VLSI/ULSI circuit and system design, semiconductor devices physics and technology, Biomedical signal processing, manufacturing process selection and process parameters optimization, micromachining and Nano-finishing processes and many more. The research facilities of IIT Indore are, Single crystal X-ray diffractometer, Dual ion beam sputtering deposition (DIBSD) system, Spin Coater, Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, The Nuclear Magnetic resonance spectrometer, Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence Microscopy, Optical Surface Metrology System Profiler, Time correlated single photon counting (TCSPC).
