The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University is a Central University in India, located in the district of Amarkantak Madhya Pradesh, and established in the year of 2007. There is one other Central University in Madhya Pradesh and an overall of 42 Central Universities in India. The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University is covered under the Central Universities Act of 2009, which regulates its powers, purpose and governance.
