Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, abbreviated as LLRUVAS, is a public university of veterinary and animal sciences studies, research and learning and is located in Hisar, Haryana, India. The university was formed in the year 2010 by the Government of India. It was named after the former freedom fighter Mr. Lala Lajpat Rai.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate programs in Veterinary and Animal Science. There are eighteen academic departments which includes Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Immunology, Veterinary Parasitology, Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics , Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, Veterinary Medicine, Livestock Production and Management, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Products Technology, Non-Credit Compulsory Courses and Veterinary anatomy.
