Magadh university is a public university of higher education, research and learning and is located in Bihar, India. The university was established in 1962 by the UGC but now the university is governed under Bihar and is one of the largest university in Bihar. Prof. Arun Kumar is the Vice chancellor of the Magadh university and Mr. K.K. Dutta was the founder of the Magadh University. The facilities offered by Magadh university includes multi-storied library, department libraries, Mannulal Central Library, which is house of over 162, 245 books along with various manuscripts, journals and reading materials, science laboratory, computer labs, auditorium, residential areas, hostels, wi-fi enabled classroom, medical supplies, indoor-outdoor games, athletics events and cultural events . There are over 1500 students at the campus along with 150 staff members and over 2000 teachers. The university also has Central Bank branch on the campus for students conveniences and post office as well. It is also building large computer lab for the MCA students.
