Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, also referred as Gujarat Agricultural University (GAU), is a public university of agricultural studies, research and learning and is located in Palanpur, Gujarat, India. The university is established on the year 1972 by the Government of India. Mr. Kamla Beniwal is chancellor and K.Sreedharan is the vice-chancellor of the university and is affiliated as UGC. The university also has facilities like health centre, inter-college volleyball competition, NSS training & activities , tours, student clubs, student organization, student counselling, accommodation for staff members, hostel (separate for boys and girls), free wi-fi connection on campus, food court and gymnastic.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programs in dairy science, veterinary science, forestry, home science, agricultural engineering, fisheries and horticulture. The central library of the university has about 45600 books, 280 periodicals, 5650 thesis, 225 scientific journals, 200 encyclopedia, 71 Cd-ROM database, 5440 research reports and around 4150 back volumes along with reference material, reading material, online journals, manuscript, online database and many more.
