The Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, abbreviated to SSAHE, is a private deemed University located at Tumkur, in the state of Karnataka, India. The University was established on the 30th of May, 2008 in accordance with the 3rd Section of the University Grants Commission Act of 1956. The University gets its name after Sri Siddhartha also known as Gautama Buddha. SSAHE has a student capacity for over 200 post graduate and over 600 graduate students. The University also plays host to over a 100 PhD candidates.
The undergraduate programmes offered at Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education include Bachelors degrees in the fields of, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunication and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Medical Electronics and Engineering. The University also offer various Master of Technology courses, namely in the fields of, Computer Aided Design of Structures, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Aided Industrial Drives, Digital Electronics, Thermal Power Engineering, Product Design and Manufacturing and VLSI and Embedded systems. In addition to the above the Sri Siddhartha Medical college, a constituent of the main University, has an intake of over 130 students for the MBBS programme and 12 students for MD in General Medicine, OBG, Radiology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology and Microbiology. The other constituent colleges of SSAHE include the Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology with an intake of over 850 students and the Sri Siddhartha Dental college with an intake of over 60 students.
